Our Boats

OUR NARROWBOATS have been built to our specific requirements to provide amenities suitable for the needs of disabled users. Each boat carries a maximum of 12 passengers and is crewed by trained and D.B.S accredited W.C.N.T. volunteers.

Please NOTE there is a strict limit on the number of wheelchairs that can be safely carried on the boats, when the user is confined to the wheelchair. When passengers require folding wheelchair use to access the boats, but can then transfer to on-board seating the higher limits indicated below apply.

Pot of Gold

Full wheelchair access throughout the boat, with wet room plus second toilet and wash basin. Galley having Fridge, gas Hob and Oven. Two lifts (forward and aft) plus aft ramp access (max wheelbase width 2’4″, and overall max width of 2’6″ on ramps). Central heating.

A maximum of 3 wheelchairs where any occupant cannot be transferred to the boats seating.
A maximum of 4 wheelchairs where all the occupants can be transferred to the boats seating

Suitable for Day use and for Residential cruises with sleeping accommodation for up to six adults  in addition to WCNT crew.  Hoist for disabled transfer from or to wheelchair

Over the Rainbow

Specifically for Day use, the Galley having Fridge, Urn and Combination Microwave with grill and oven. Full width wheelchair access toilet (& emergency shower), Access Ramps (max wheelbase width 2’4″, and overall max width 2’6″ on ramps), hydraulic Lift and Central heating.

A maximum of 4 wheelchairs where any occupant cannot be transferred to the boats seating.
A maximum of 6 wheelchairs where all the occupants can be transferred to the boats seating

Ideal for those requiring a more flexible seating arrangement. The individual chairs are suitable
for use on the extended foredeck or in a variety of table arrangements within the saloon.
